Near Life Experiences is the chat show you’ve been waiting for all your life. We’ve got weekly special guests, bizarre news stories and quiz sections, and music selected by the finest DJs (us). Join us each week as we try our hardest to emulate actual, real-life human interaction LIVE.
We also (usually) have THEMED MUSIC with a different theme each week, and we have three special multi-guest season finales: the Quiz Finale, in season 2, the Karaoke Christmas Finale, in season 3, and the Final Time Capsule Mega-Finale in season 4.

Grab your hankies, folks - it's an emotional one. We've made our time capsule, but we need help hiding it. So we've brought back every guest who's ever been on the show for our greatest crossover and a final goodbye.

And so it continues. Joined by special guest Dan, we explore the niche topics of cave use and airport layout. Mundane topics perhaps but, when tackled with such expertly crafted lack of clarity, it's no wonder critics are already hailing us as this generation's Terry Wogan.

Join us once again as we struggle to comprehend the world of so-called 'real human beings'. In this gripping instalment we grapple with exploding coconuts, heartbroken birds and phone-in listeners.

Join the regular NLE hosts along with special guest Nandana for a rip-roaring hour of discussion and great music. Only joking, the content's still terrible and mundane, but we do talk about a hat in this one, so white-knuckle stuff.

EPISODE 8
It's CHRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISTMAS (Or Oxmas, at least) and we've brought back some guests from earlier in the series to decide which of the current frontrunners in the 'best guest item' leaderboard gets to claim the title of SERIES THREE BEST GUEST.
It's a Christmas singalong with a twist - the two teams of three have to sing with the 'voice jammer' from earlier in the series. The singing couldn't be sillier, and the stakes couldn't be higher.
SEASON 04
This season was our final outing together on Oxide, and we decided to change things up and do something that’ll really create a legacy for the show. So we’ve been creating a time capsule - each guest that we bring on the show in these episodes provides a number of items, stories, and memories which have shaped their lives, and by storing all of them together we hope to create something that reflects the world we live in and the people we are now.
In the final episode, we recruit the help of more guests than ever before to decide where the capsule should be placed…
EPISODE 1
Join Tristan and Jon for the first episode of Near Life Experiences' special TIME CAPSULE SEASON, where we will be diving deeper into the lives of our guests to find out what they have to tell us about the world. This week we discovered a whole lot about beekeeping, Iceland and competitive conker clashing from Tristan.

Join Tristan, Jon and series three sweetheart John Merrington for our second Time Capsule episode. John tells us about The Graduate, floating marsh people and more.
EPISODE 3
For our third time capsule episode, we've brought back Suzan to the Oxide studio! We listen to some Scottish music to celebrate Burns night, and talk about MRI scans, edible bugs and a big pink mansion.
EPISODE 4
This time, we bring Dan back to add to our time capsule. Listen in as he regales us with stories of his life in Gavin and Stacey, bizarre taxidermy, big sausage no-nos and more. We'll also be listening to some agricultural tunes.
EPISODE 5
This time Maebh joins us in the studio (eventually) to give us stories and interesting cultural tidbits for the time capsule. This week's music is centred around historical figures.
EPISODE 6
Science Scoop star Nandana joins us in the studio this time to contribute to the time capsule, with talk about painting, Harry Potter, and her very own special segment - "Weird Things Nanny Does". The music theme is - oddly enough - silence.

For the last additions to the time capsule we bring in Denise - our final guest, ever - to see what she has to offer. Turns out it's Usher memorabilia, facts about Roald Dahl, and more.
