The Catch-Up

Saturdays 5:00-6:00 pm

Have you ever felt like keeping on top of popular culture is a full-time job? Then tune in on Saturday evenings for The Catch-Up, where Jonnie Barrow and Oluchi Ezeh chat about the best of the week's entertainment news, movies and TV reviews, and general pop-culture nonsense. Oluchi is a TV encyclopaedia with a love for literally ALL things 90's, while Jonnie is a film critic and pop-culture fiend who's rarely stuck for an opinion. Together, we attempt to catch each other (and you!) up on the best of the week.

SEASON 2

In many ways, this is the ultimate episode of The Catch-Up, as we spend the episode catching up on all the movies we've missed after a week away.

Oluchi and Jonnie battle tiredness and tech problems to bring you the best discussion of this week's Oscar nominations we can squeeze into 10 minutes! Featuring reviews of The Mule, Destroyer, A Dog's Way Home and an extended chat about Vice, this is truly the catch-up to end all catch-ups.

It's 2019, the world is on fire, but never mind all that because Oluchi and I are back to serve you all your pop-culture news! We chat about the upcoming Ghostbusters film, the latest Game of Thrones trailer, as well as reviewing Beautiful Boy, Mary Queen of Scots, and M.

SEASON 01

This week, Jonnie and Oluchi are joined by the wonderful Charles Britton as we discuss the Star Wars prequels! Of course, the top of the show is filled with our custom mix of movie and TV news (including Bond 25, Roseanne's cancellation and Oluchi's attempts to explain Love Island to two novices), as well as reviews for On Chesil Beach and Book Club, but y'know...STAR WARS!!!

This week, Jonnie battles illness and Oluchi battles Star Wars fatigue to bring you all the best news and reviews in the world of popular culture from the week! Featuring reviews of Solo: A Star Wars Story and Show Dogs, news about the upcoming Watchmen adaptation, and lots of Hunger Games and Star Wars chat - welcome to The Catch-Up.

This week, Jonnie and Oluchi are joined by the one and only Ruth Simms to discuss Deadpool 2, catch up on The Empire Strikes Back, and work through more movie and TV news than you can shake a stick at. Hijinks ensue.

After a host of technical issues, Oluchi and Jonnie are BACK with an even longer, even catchier-uppier episode than ever! We talk through the news of the week including Jordan Peele's new project, Peter Jackson issues and the latest cinematic releases of the week - 'Life of the Party' and 'Entebbe' - as well as Oluchi's first ever experience of watching Star Wars.

This week, Jonnie is joined by Maya Little (from "This Be The Verse") who's filling in for Oluchi as we talk through the latest Blumhouse News, What We Do In The Shadows being made into a TV show, plus reviews for Sherlock Gnomes and I Feel Pretty.

In our first-ever episode, Jonnie and Oluchi talk about a little indie film called Avengers: Infinity War, as well as lining up other topics we hope to cover in the next eight weeks...
